That's it.

long long ago, when I was young and studying in EU headquarters, I took the Easter holiday to travel to Amsterdam and stayed in a youth hostel near the raiway station by the name "Wild Hog" (or something to the effect). here are the few scenes that I recall of the hostel:
1. rent a quilt--for the 2*4=8persons/room, a girl chose not to waste the money and slept in their daytime clothes, a boy did waste the money as his quilt fell off the bed while he slept nearly naked,
2. free breakfast--long long table with sliced bread, jam and butter, and a poster on the wall saying "stuff yourself to death" (or to the effect)
3. legal drug-- a boy sitting on the floor in the corridor, with a variety of candles and pop cans in front of him, surrounded by an eerie smell (not bad by strangely fragrant)
btw: I love Amsterdam and my youthful days!
But I know what you mean... the age of innocence, in more than one sense of the word.
